Technology 101 Skills for Teachers
This week we explored a post by Shelly Fryer called Technology 101 Skills for Teachers. This is a really great post that shares the different things that Shelly Fryer does in her classroom and ways she integrates art and technology. She had a lot of different apps and things that teachers could do with their kids. She even had a QR activity like the one we did for class.
She had a whole section on bat week which I thought was really cool. Two things that really stuck out to me were the cool crayon resist artwork pieces that her students did. They were so beautiful and I bet the students really had fun making those.
The other thing I liked was that she did a virtual field trip with her class. I think this is such a great way for kids to learn new things when the resources or funds to go on a real trip are not available. I have also heard about virtual field trips with farms that I thought would be great to incorporate in classrooms and I want to do with my future students. Overall this is a really great post that is informative for teachers of all experience levels.
